Showtime, from scratch.
One of my favorite recurring projects during my time at Stacey Leong Design. Each year, Diamond Head Theatre released a season brochure featuring their full lineup — and when licensed artwork wasn't available for a show, it fell to us to create something original.
That meant researching each production, finding its emotional core, and building a logo and illustration from scratch that could hold its own in print. I created original artwork for several productions including White Christmas, The Joy Luck Club, Guys & Dolls, I Hate Hamlet, and The Sound of Music. Each one had to feel true to the show while fitting cohesively into the season's overall program design.
It was the kind of project where constraints became creative fuel -- and I loved every minute of it.
